SIMPLE CAFE & RESTAURANT opened in 2006 by owner and operator, Chef Samia Behaya. Since then, the restaurant has remained a neighborhood staple for those seeking a familiar dining experience outside their own home. The menu is made up of original recipes inspired by the cuisine in Chef Samia's home country of france and influenced by her background in Algeria. All of the ingredients are sourced locally from Hudson Valley Harvest and the bread is baked daily in house.

SIMPLE BEP began as a pop up in 2009 with Chef An Nguyen Xuan. The idea behind "BEP" or "kitchen" in Vietnamese was to provide a different cultural experience in an already recognizeable space. The concept was a hit, and popularity quickly grew enough to equip the Vietnamese eatery with a loyal following of it's own.

Since 2014 Chef Samia is also the proud owner of DJENNA @ LOT45, a refurbished shipping container serving refined Algerian street food in Bushwick, Brooklyn. For more information on this innovative dining experience, click here.
